Description:
Expression of Interest are invited for Building Digital Platforms for Women in Côte DIvoires Cashew Value Chain. The CGAP Women in Rural and Agricultural Livelihoods Program has set out to partner with financial service providers around the globe to design, test and scale products and services that improve rural womens access and returns to labor and markets. As part of its work with providers, the CGAP WIRAL Program seeks a firm to support the Wi Agri agritech platform in Côte dIvoire as it works to improve uptake of its services among rural women. Wi Agri describes itself as a one-stop shop for agricultural value chains in West Africa, offering a digital platform that connects users with financial services, market access, business training, and extension services. The selected firm will work with CGAP and Wi Agri to research, design and test new services that increase adoption, retention, and engagement of rural women on the platform. The firm will also be expected to synthesize insights from the engagement to support CGAP's global learning agenda on women in rural and agricultural livelihoods. The objectives of the assignment are to: -Improve Wi Agris understanding of the needs and constraints facing various profiles of rural women in Côte dIvoires cashew value chain. -Assess and improve upon the design issues/gaps and constraints in the Wi Agri platform itself, that act as barriers for WIRAL to benefit from the full potential of the current services offered by the platform. -Outline the customer journey for various profiles of rural women from awareness to adoption and use of the platform, while also and identifying bottlenecks/barriers to move them from existing behavior to desired behavior. -Design concepts for new and/or improved financial and non-financial products and services that meet the needs of diverse profiles of rural women, including cashew processors, producers, and wage laborers, that could be offered through Wi Agri, in order to improve the acquisition and retention of women customers. -Develop tailored marketing materials and other multimedia tools that raise awareness of Wi Agri, sensitize key target segments of women to the benefits of joining the platform, and provide training on the usage of Wi Agri products and services. -Provide CGAP with key insights from the engagement that can inform its global efforts to drive investment in solutions that improve rural womens livelihoods.
